UPDATED RELEASE DATE<\/strong>
\nAs many of you will know, Portal Knights was scheduled to launch on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One later this month in Europe, then early May in North America. The teams at 505 Games and Keen Games have been pushing incredibly hard to make this happen, but unfortunately, we need some extra time. Portal Knights will now land on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on May 19th in Europe, then on May 23rd in North America. The game is looking beautiful, but there\u2019s still some polishing to do and we don\u2019t want to give it to you until it\u2019s ready. <\/p>\n

Of course, we\u2019re disappointed and we know many of you guys will be too. However, we hope you understand, can respect our decision and we hope you\u2019ll continue to support us in the run up to launch. While it\u2019s hard to break news like this at any time, it does feel a little easier in this case, as we know we have an incredibly loyal, passionate and supportive community on board. <\/p>\n

This decision also impacts our Steam release date too. The team are working flat out to ensure that Update v 1.0 is the best it can be. As a result, Portal Knights will now leave Early Access on May 19th 2017, the same date as our European console launch. Stay tuned for more info on what to expect in that update. <\/p>\n

FREE CONSOLE TRIAL<\/strong>
\nOK\u2026 Let\u2019s move onto some exciting news, shall we? <\/p>\n

Today, we\u2019re pleased to announce that we\u2019ll be launching a FREE trial version of Portal Knights, coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on April 20th 2017! We know our console community have been asking whether they\u2019ll get the opportunity to try out the game before launch, so we know this news will be welcoming to many. <\/p>\n

Download the free trial on April 20th and you\u2019ll be able to create your hero, explore the first island, learn the basics, play with a friend in 2 player local split-screen multiplayer, explore the RPG elements that Portal Knights has to offer and much more, before we launch fully in May. Not only that, but should you wish to purchase Portal Knights on console, you\u2019ll be able to transfer your trial save data to the full game when it launches! Not bad, eh?<\/p>\n

When the free trial goes live, please feel free to share those screenshots, link us up to your live streams, share videos etc. We\u2019ll acknowledge as many of you as we can across our community channels too! We love seeing what you guys get up to in game, so please share that content! <\/p>\n
